Caroline Saunders

General Counsel


As Pace’s in-house legal counsel, Caroline plays a critical role in managing the company's legal affairs and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Her responsibilities encompass drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contracts, including lease agreements, purchase and sale agreements, acquisitions, dispositions, and new development projects. 

Additionally, she works to mitigate risks associated with property transactions and helps navigate the legal landscape of environmental and employment issues related to the real estate operations of Pace Properties and Avison Young.

Caroline earned a Bachelor of Arts in French from St. Louis University and a French Certificate from Université de Lyon II in Lyon, France. She later received her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law. Caroline is a member of both the Missouri and Illinois Bar Associations.


When she's not immersed in legal documents, Caroline enjoys being outside as much as possible!  Currently residing in Chesterfield, MO, she shares her home with her husband Greg and their children, Audrey (15) and Henry (14), and their two Australian Shepherds, Chase and Disco.
